Book Idea
I think I could write a book on early primitive man conscious would enact him to fear death out of a biological response and thus creating this entire social event of the burial(labeled as a tragic event) rather than what it is. Man jumped the gun on the meaning of death as it was the death of conscious of one being, while ignoring the holistic view that “energy is never created or destroyed” so one need not fear the destruction of the entirety of oneself. etc….etc…
I was reminded of this by my grandmothers reaction to the closing of her life as she weeps on occasion fearing death. These are passed down negative social constructions on perceiving what death is about. The consequences are repeated with every life and only leaves one to bear wondering if we could have flipped the common view of death on its head and turn it into a sort of celebration via recycling of ones entity into the cycle of life for example
One of my recent theories are also this. You dont do something because u think your better than it. For example, I dont do baseball, because I find baseball inferior to what I do do; i.e. football. You dont wear those style of shorts because you think they are not as good as the ones you have on now. So when people act all interested in what you do, they analyze whether or not they consider what you do worthy enough of what they do. And if its not, they dont do it. But notice, if I choose everything I do and another person next to me does everything completely different. What would be the result is my question? Im inclined to think that he would think hes better than him because he has avoided all the stupid things he does. This illusion of mutual respect when people use generic responses of “oh, that’s cool” or “Thats awesome” are shit. If it was awesome, they would do it, but they dont because they think they’re better than that behavior. There are obviously a lot of exceptions to this. Im not even gonna bother to go into them. use ur own brain
I’ve been pondering the question over and over about theory that humans are essentially blameless for what they do. Not because of any nihilism or anything like that but that we are not responsible for our actions because it is precisely who we are. The logic is that we do not hate elephants for knocking trees over and thus killing vegetation and we do not hate a lion for hunting gazelle. We have separated ourselves from the environment but that is wrong because we too obey its laws and the laws genetically passed down to us. The idea is super cool but I feel its lacking something. I think there’s good reason to separate us in regards to the environment but not of any higher standing per say, but more so because we have our conscience which by and large is a natural thing. So the theory just tries to avoid the conscience and the fact that we have the ability to question what we do wrong. And if we do, thus its not unnatural to do so. So we are back to square one.
I just suddenly got a flash of my roommate and I rarely arguing but this time he was fuming about something I had said about someone else. He later regretted how he let his emotions out of line. I wish I could go back and yell at him again for thinking that. He believed it was a sign of weakness that he let himself go. See, I think its weak that we tie our self down to civilized behavior. We do this out of fear. We’re afraid of the physco-analytic consequences of our peers in how they ascribe to us judgement. Its better not to be seen, to behave robotically. And worse still, we may just be afraid of how far we’d go. Fuck that. Socialization is weak.
ur better than that
The thesis is, you dont do something because ur ego says that ur better than it. To elaborate, I dont like play baseball. Why? Because I think football is better. Im not religious? Why? I think football is better. Saying out loud that “what ever floats your boat” to people who do something “different” is just begging the question as to why you dont do it urself. Admit it. You think your better than it. This obviously does not apply to people who wish they could do something but cant. Take it prima facie kids. So thats a recent idea of mine. chyeh
Do you know how hard it is to live in the here and now. do you know how hard it is to ignore the future and think about whats goin on inside of your head right now. You have to legitimately not care about whats going to happen tomorrow. People can think of this as a good thing but they fail to see how its a horrible one. Without any future in your mind, you feel weak, fragile and a void in you. Do you know what living in the moment means, it means cherishing every breath you take, it means eating your footing as slow as possible savoring the taste. But people don’t do that, our mindsets are worlds apart. Is that a bad thing? I say no, after feeling this way, I only come out to say that for those that can control losing their feelings for their future self without any reprocussions such as buddhist monks, I congratulate you. But as for the rest of the popluation, Im glad your not able to let go of the future, because I honestly don’t know how you would live in the present.
I dont think you could understand this post unless you really felt it. It may feel like nothing profound was said here (sorry to disappoint) but something profound I am sure can be felt here if you can relate to what I am saying.
